We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the comfortable rooms and most of all the fantastic view one experiences from the terrace, the Hotel is in a magnificent situation.
Parking can be a bit tricky if you are not an experienced driver who is able to drive in 'tight' situations.

The staff was truly amazing, they made us feel so much at home! They asnwered all of our questions about things to see and do and were always friendly and caring. The environment was lovely, amazing views from our room and the terras. Room was cosy and clean. Walking distance of the centre of Montecatini Alto, with a few good restaurants to have diner. Good place to discover Tuscany, all the famous places are not far away.

Villa Gaia was the perfect place for me! Very quiet. Extremely accomodating and as an added bonus, we met some new friends there. The village of Monticatini Alto is a gorgeous setting and I could see coming back and stying at the hotel for an extended stay just to relax and use the hotel as my base for travel elsewhere.

The hotel is situated in the beautiful Montecatini Alto and having breakfast on a terasse with such a wonderful view is really good start for your day.The place is an ideal starting point especially if you are interested in exploring Northwestern Tuscany. The hotel staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. We had to depart very early, so they were concerned to arrange some coffee and biscuits for us on the previous night. You will be really happy if you choose Villa Gaia for your stay!

Wonderful view for the Terrace overlooking hills and towns - providing beautiful sunsets and glittering lights at night. Warm welcoming hosts with great English really want to ensure your stay is the best possible. We extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights because it was so good. We would recommend Villa Gaia to all. Lots to do including: Fun rides from Montecatina Alto down to Montecatini Terme on the Funiculare - little red cable train - where it was easy to book massages etc at Excelsior Terme.
All went well - nothing negative.

The view spectacular. There is only one room with a balcony and we were fortunate to get it and the view was amazing. The town was charming and the restaurants very good especially WOW.
They did not have AC and the mosquitos were bad. Also the parking is behind the Villa and there were many steep steps. The owner helped us carry our bags but It still was difficult.

Villa Gaia is the best located hotel I have ever seen. The view from the restaurant and the rooms is magnificent. This combined with a very warm welcome from the staff and services absolutely in top have made our stay a very pleasant experience.
There was actually nothing I did not like about Villa Gaia

Had a lovely stay at Villa Gaia! Owner/Operators were very kind and helpful. Very close to everything in Montecatini Alto and a very short walk to the funicular (train) down to Montecatini Terme. Room was simple but clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel to family & friends!

We stayed in 2011 and then again this year. The location, atmosphere of the village and the characteristics of the hotel would take a lot of betting at twice the price. The rooms are cool even though no air conditioning. The open air dining with views across the valley are magic. The cooking and service are excellent.
Nothing to be honest and I am difficult to please. Be aware that certain sat navs are plain silly and you come off autostrada into Montecatini Terme and turn right at lights with Vodafone on left hand side. Keep going and after funicula turn right at next lights and bear right all the way. Parking free in village and although car park at rear of hotel you need instructions and the ramp down is steep. We tend to park in roadside near funicula.

The setting at Villa Gaia is unlike any other. Perched atop a mountain overlooking the hills and valleys of Tuscany, we found it idyllic. There are outdoor tables for breakfast and enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, which we took advantage of every day. The staff are helpful and friendly. We loved it. Overall, the area and place are calming, but close enough to great restaurants in the square. We would stay there again.
It was difficult to find in the first place with our rental car. Once we did, it ws well worth the wandering to find it.

The family who own the hotel were exceptionally helpful and made us feel very welcome. They were very nice :-)
There was no air conditioning in our 'superior' room which was a disappointment. The temperature was mid 30s and at night the fans that the owners provided just weren't sufficient. When we had the windows open we got bitten and when they were closed it was way too hot..
